A lot of the tropes were either established in the 90s and are old hat to greymuzzles but younger writers don't know about them, or are constantly recycled by new authors. Things like "The six origins of furry species" "Humans oppressing the furries" "A post-human world where the humans were all evil but now there's only furries" and so on.
